VIA Motors Appoints Two New Members to the Electric Vehicle Company’s Board of Directors
Orem, UT – VIA Motors CEO Pablo Acedo announced today that the Electric Vehicle company has appointed two highly respected business leaders, Suzanne H. Gilbert, a 30 plus year experienced executive in leading advertising and marketing communications companies, and Donald L. Runkle, a highly recognized business leader and product/process innovator, to VIA’s Board of Directors.

They bring a wealth of leadership and talent to VIA Motors Board,” said Acedo.Throughout her career, Suzanne has been recognized for her overall management skill, strategic insight, financial acumen, team-building skills, improving operational results and solving complex problems with innovative solutions. Adweek has named her as one of the US’s Outstanding Financial Leaders and she has been listed separately in “Who’s Who in America,” “Who’s Who of American Women,” “Who’s Who in Finance & Industry” and “Who’s Who in Media & Communications.” Prior to this appointment, Suzanne formed SHGilbert Consulting, served as Exec VP Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at Campbell-Ewald, one of the country’s leading advertising and marketing communication companies, and served in executive positions at various worldwide advertising/marketing communications organizations. Suzanne has an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and BS degree from Marquette University, College of Business Administration. Among his impressive list of accomplishments, Don has led divisional profit turnarounds, international acquisitions and divestitures and new product creation. He is an operating executive for Tennenbaum Capital Partners and is a board member of Lear Corporation, a premier automotive seating and electronics supplier, WinCup, and the Lean Enterprise Institute. He was recently Executive Chairman and CEO of EcoMotors International and Chairman of EaglePicher and Autocam. Don was formerly Vice-Chairman and Chief Technology Officer of Delphi Corporation, a premier components supplier. During his long tenure at General Motors, he was VP of Engineering, VP of Advanced Engineering, Chief Engineer of Chevrolet and Chief Engineer of Buick Powertrain & Racing. His GM teams led the creation of the GM EV1 electric vehicle and received Car of the Year and Top Ten Engines awards. Don was also the co-founder of the United States Advanced Battery Consortium (USABC) with the US Department of Energy. “I’ve looked deeply into the background of VIA and must say I am very impressed with what I see as a compelling value proposition and technology,” said Runkle. Don has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Michigan in Mechanical Engineering and was a Sloan Fellow, receiving his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
